A main goal in racing is consistency, if your fuel tune-up changes excessively with the fuel pump’s temperature, your engine is not going to perform consistently. All pumps receive a stainless steel “pump size” tag Why a Tough Pump? It’s design allows it to operate at higher fuel pressure loads which allows increased system fuel pressure, to help atomize fuel at low rpm and to change the dynamic flow curve. Our Tough Pump has the ability to survive the demands of a modern fuel system. Pressure Loads (PSI): How does it handle greater pressures? We use advanced machining techniques to improve the tolerances, add our patented pressure balance plate system, use higher quality material and coatings, and optimize the design architecture to improve the pressure capabilities and reduce cavitation, to improve the overall performance and reliability. © 2024 } Each size pump is held to a tight flow output specification. If a pump does not have the required flow it is NOT shipped. Our test benches are designed for repeatability and consistency. The performance on any pump we test can easily be compared to any other pump tested. In other manufacturers pumps we see as much as 12% variation in flow on the same size pump and they call them good. Why a Tough Pump? Our pumps of the same size can be interchanged without a change in the fuel system settings. All the time you spent ‘dialing in’ your fuel system is not lost and you don’t have the risk of damaging an engine due to the flow differences seen with competitor’s fuel pumps. { HP TORQUE Flows are at Pump Shaft RPM, --- NOT Engine RPM.
